Asylum Guide Training Session

Brushstrokes is about to start a new project, with the support of Refugee Action, to help recently arrived asylum seekers who come to Sandwell understand the asylum system.

We are holding an asylum guide training session on

Friday 11th May from 9.30

for anyone who would be interested in this role.

Individuals should contact Martin McNally our volunteer coordinator if they are interested in this role and the training session.

Video about EU citizens' rights, settled status in the UK & Brexit

The European Commission has offices, called Representations, in all the Member States of the European Union.

Their role is to:

  • Be a source of EU-related information for you, for your business, media, educational institutions and for the public authorities.

  • Explain how EU policies will affect you in the United Kingdom.

  • Speak for the European Commission as its voice in the UK, providing background briefings for the media as well as on-the-record comment on relevant issues.

  • Inform the European Commission in Brussels on political, economic and social developments in the UK.

The website of the Representation shares the latest information on EU citizens’ rights.  https://ec.europa.eu/unitedkingdom/services/your-rights_en
