ESOL and Learning Coordinator
We require an ESOL and Learning Coordinator to lead and coordinate our ESOL and learning programme at Brushstrokes. The post has responsibility for developing the course programme, maintaining ESOL accreditation, coordinating timetables, managing the small ESOL staff team and volunteers, as well as directly delivering learning to students.
Finance Admin Assistant
We require a Finance Administrative Assistant to provide financial administrative support for Brushstrokes. This is a new and exciting role. The post holder will receive excellent support and guidance from Father Hudson’s Finance manager, and on-site support at Brushstrokes. The post-holder will be in a unique position to use their existing skills and to learn many new ones connected with the multiple funding sources, diverse services, and substantial staff team that support a project with a budgeted turnover of nearly £1 million in 2021-22
Employment Support Worker
Part-funded by the National Lottery, the Employment Support Worker will develop employment support for new refugees and other migrants. The role will assess and agree employment action plans and provide advice, training and support 1-1 and through groupwork to enable individuals to move into employment, education and training
Advice Services manager
We are recruiting for an Advice Services Manager. The post is responsible for managing our advice, information and support services for refugees, asylum seekers and migrants including OISC regulated Immigration advice and specialist advice on asylum support, housing, welfare benefits and health. Our advice services are currently being delivered remotely via phone and the web and from our centre in Smethwick. We also hope to reestablish our satellite sites and outreach in the future.
Advice and Family Support Worker
We require an Advice and Family Support Worker to provide specialist advice and support to asylum seekers, refugees, vulnerable migrants, including for asylum support, welfare benefits, housing, health and other services. Part-funded by the National Lottery, the postholder will carry out assessments and provide support to vulnerable families through outreach, home visiting and at our centre.
We require a Digital Skills Advisor to work alongside service users to increase their digital skills and enable them to progress into employment, education and training. You will also support them to make use of online platforms to increase their access to government and local services.
We require a Community Development Worker to develop and coordinate community involvement and activities. Funding by the National Lottery, you will facilitate the ongoing development of Brushstrokes Service User Group enabling a strong migrant voice to inform our work and engage with commissioners. You will develop and coordinate a range of community and social activities and you will support the development
Receptionist / Admin Assistant 22.5 Hrs Per Week Monday to Friday (09.00 - 1.30) You will act as first line contact with the general public and organisations, calling or visiting Brushstrokes and also provide administrative support to the project and specifically for our health awareness and screening sessions. This post will provide supervision and support for a team of community navigators and specialist advice for migrants living in Sandwell where immigration status is affecting their access to housing, health, social care and welfare benefits.
This post will be responsible for co-ordinating the collection and
distribution of practical resources and the management of the resource
team of staff and volunteer. You will also be required to promote the
work of Brushstrokes and develop an active network of donors across
community, business, schools and faith communities in this area.
