Health and Wellbeing
Health and Wellbeing
Good health is about more than treating illness. It is about having the knowledge, confidence and support needed to live well and access the right help when you need it. Our Health and Wellbeing team helps new arrivals and settled communities understand and navigate healthcare services, promoting healthier, more connected lives.
We provide practical support with registering for a GP, understanding NHS services, completing health-related forms and accessing appropriate healthcare. We also deliver workshops and information sessions on a range of topics, including understanding the NHS, mental wellbeing, healthy lifestyles, communicable diseases and preventative health.
Our team works both in the community and through outreach services, ensuring people can access trusted information and support wherever they are. We also help individuals apply for schemes such as the NHS Low Income Scheme (HC2 certificates) where appropriate and connect people with specialist services when additional support is needed.
By reducing barriers to healthcare and increasing health awareness, we help people feel more confident, informed and empowered to look after their own wellbeing and that of their families.
